Estimated shipping
Select a product to estimate shipping.Bull Kelp belongs to a genus of brown algae called Durvillaea potatorum (Phaeophyceae)this freeze-dried kelp (Durvillea potatorum); comes from the West Coast of Tasmania where this unique species of Bull Kelp thrives in the mixing zone of nutrients welling up from the depths of the Great Southern Ocean. Due to cold sea temperatures, it has the highest alginic acid content and natural growth stimulants vitamins and minerals of any brown kelp in the world and has been tested 100% free of inorganic arsenic and radiation. Iodine is an essential mineral as the body does not make iodine, so it is an essential part of your diet. If you do not have enough iodine in your body, you cannot make enough thyroid hormone. Prevention of iodine deficiency by the introduction of iodized salt has virtually eliminated iodine deficiency but as people have switched more to pink Himalayan salt and maybe more at risk of developing iodine deficiency. Kelp Crunch can change this, Grasslands Nutrition's Bull Kelp Crunch contains enough iodine in 1tsp to meet the bodies recommended requirement for iodine.
